OPEC's World Oil Outlook 2026 to be launched on 18 June 2026

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) will launch the milestone 20th edition of its World Oil Outlook on Thursday, 18 June 2026, at 14:00 (CEST) at the OPEC Secretariat in Vienna, Austria, via videoconference. The event will be streamed live on the OPEC website: https://www.opec.org/.

HE Haitham Al Ghais, OPEC Secretary General, will officially open the event, followed by a presentation on the Outlook’s key findings and a high-level panel discussion. The discussion will bring together senior representatives from OPEC, Energy Aspects, the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies, Rapidan Energy Group, S&P Global and Argus Media. Mr Dan Murphy, Anchor at CNBC International, will serve as the Master of Ceremonies.

First published in 2007, the World Oil Outlook is OPEC's flagship publication. It provides an in-depth review and analysis of the global oil and energy industries and offers assessments of various scenarios in their medium- and long-term development. The publication presents insights on the main projections for energy and oil demand, oil supply, refining, oil trade and investment, as well as key assumptions on the global economy, population and developments in energy policies and technologies.

This year’s World Oil Outlook examines the key challenges and opportunities facing the global energy sector, emphasizing the importance of energy security, affordability and emissions reductions, while recognizing the diverse energy needs of countries worldwide.

The publication will be available immediately following the launch event in both interactive and PDF formats on the OPEC website.
