Vienna, Austria, 19 March 2018--OPEC Secretary General, HE Mohammad Sanusi Barkindo, has extended his congratulations to HE Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, following his election victory on Sunday. The Secretary General commended President Putin for his engagement and pivotal contribution to the ongoing success of the landmark ‘Declaration of Cooperation’ between OPEC and non-OPEC producing countries. The Russian Federation and OPEC currently enjoy excellent relations and the Secretary General stated that he looked forward to further strengthening collaboration going forward.
