The 2013 OPEC World Oil Outlook (WOO) and Annual Statistical Bulletin (ASB) will be officially released at a press conference to be held at the OPEC Secretariat on Thursday, 7 November 2013 at 14:30 CET. The WOO and ASB are OPEC’s flagship annual publications, providing data and in-depth, expert analysis on many aspects of the global oil industry.

OPEC’s Secretary General, HE Abdalla S. El-Badri, members of the management and experts will be available to answer questions after the presentation.

First published in 2007, the WOO offers a thorough review and assessment of various scenarios related to the medium- and long-term development of the upstream and downstream sectors of the oil industry. The publication is a valuable reference tool, providing keen insight into key industry issues, such as supply and demand, refining, investments, costs, policies and sustainable development. It also outlines challenges and opportunities the industry may face in the future.

The ASB, on the other hand, provides extensive statistical data on crude oil and natural gas activities in OPEC Member Countries. It also presents time-series data on other aspects of the international petroleum industry, including imports and exports, exploration, production and transportation.

Media and analysts requiring a copy of the WOO prior to the press conference can request a 48-hour embargoed copy, which will be distributed on 5 November 2013, at 14:30 CET. The interactive version of the 2013 ASB, which also incorporates a complete PDF file, is already available online at http://www.opec.org/opec_web/en/202.htm.

Journalists and analysts who wish to attend the press conference are kindly advised to visit the OPEC website for  accreditation: http://www.opec.org/opec_web/en/press_room/309.htm.
