IT Support Technician

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has a vacancy based in Vienna, Austria, for IT Support Technician in the Administration & IT Services Department.


Main Responsibilities

  • Provides 1st level helpdesk support to users; refers unsolved problems to next level as appropriate
  • Using ITIL framework, resolves user requests and issues raised via call log, email and ticketing system
  • Maintains inventory of IT consumables; monitors stock level, prepares stock report and organises the replenishment of stock
  • Installs hardware, software and IT peripheral equipment for users
  • Provides technical meeting support
  • Assists in ensuring that all desktops/Iaptops are regularly updated and drivers/patches are installed as per the IT security requirements
  • Contributes to the development of training material or FAQ guidelines
  • Carries out any other tasks assigned by the relevant superiors as pertain to his/her background, qualifications and position.


Requirements and Work Experience

  • Secondary school certificate plus special courses
  • Work experience: 5 years

Offer

Monthly basic salary of (€ 3,680 x 12 per year), with tax-free benefits and six-week annual leave.
