Mr. Fuad Al-Zayer, Head, Data Services Department

Is responsible for the Identification, Collection, and Processing of energy related information in support of the research activities of the OPEC Secretariat and its Member Countries, and performs the function of data provider for Member Countries and as a point of reference for OPEC data for the international community.

It Keeps abreast of latest IT technologies and database systems for the efficient operations of the secretariat. It Manages the Library that provides relevant and specialized documents and references pertaining to oil and energy-related issues. It Represents OPEC and member countries in the Joint Data Oil Initiative (JODI). Also responsible for the publishing of the Annual OPEC Statistical Bulletin that provides detailed statistical account of oil and gas facilities of the OPEC organization and its 12 member countries as well as serves as a comprehensive account of the petroleum industry as a whole.
