The Department is statutorily responsible for presenting OPEC’s objectives, decisions and actions in their true and most desirable perspective, contributing to the awareness of governments, national and international institutions and companies, as well as the general public, about OPEC and its activities, while presenting the OPEC Secretariat as a professional institution in the field of energy market data, analyses and projections. The Head of Department is Dr. Omar Farouk Ibrahim.
